Diver Gene

Driver genes harbor genetic alterations that drive abnormal cell growth and therefore are critical targets for research as they provide insights into the underlying molecular mechanisms of cancer and serve as potential targets for precision medicine.

The "Genes" page is structured to give the user a comprehensive view of the significance and impact of driver genes in cancer. The list is compiled from renowned databases, literature, experimental validation, and prediction results. Each driver gene is assigned a rank defined by OncoTriMD based on the reliability of the evidence and contains comprehensive annotation. Subsequently, we analyzed the pivotal roles of these genes in cancer progression from different perspectives. This analysis includes using predictive algorithms to assess the likelihood of a gene being a driver, to demonstrate the prevalence of mutations in that gene, and to highlight the differential expression of that gene in the cancer context. Finally, we explore the potential clinical value of these driver genes.
